raining afternoon
One perfect afternoon
With perfect companions
The clouds were somersaulting
With rays of light peeping from behind
As we were lying down
Staring far above
Dreaming of anything
Watching the clouds
Dancing with the sun setting
Singing at the top of our lungs
Drums and tambourines
Beating from a distance
Suddenly the sun lost its face
Hiding from the friendly clouds
It started to rain
The touch of the cold droplets on my face
Ironically melts my entire being
I couldn’t hear the music
I couldn’t see anything
But the sky pouring down its blessings
I was in awe
I wanted to stay
To dance under the rain
