Shadow Play

Looking through my shadow
I see
Someone who could only be
Dancing under the rain
The shadow plays
Between the droplets
Gathering the clouds
Now I see
The shadow’s dancing with me
Under the dark gray sky
The two of us entwine
The feeling’s empire ecstatic
Sweet and sublime
The music only we could hear
Tingling through our ears
Now I see
The shadow’s taken over me
Draining all the rain from the sky
It told me to stop to cry
